Segway  Rentals

Once you have completed a Segway Safari with us you will be given a segway license. Segway licenses  entitle holders to rent a Segway from Segs in the City without having to undertake further training (no it will not get you out of any speeding fines)

Rental rates for Licensed riders are:

• 2 hours - $90

• 5 hours  - $150

  5 hours represents the expected life of the battery
  

Segs in the City licensed riders may rent a Segway from any of our locations outside of Washington DC providing there is a minimum of two renters and 24 hours notice is given. These requirements do not apply to rentals in Washington DC.

 If you have no desire or time to undertake one of the safaris but still wish to learn to ride and rent a Segway we have designed a specific program with you in mind.

There are two daily opportunities to learn and ride in our Washington DC location as follows:

■      a 30 minute training and briefing session will be conducted at 9.30 am and 1.30 pm

■      on successful completion of the training the trainer will provide  you with a district map of areas open to Segways and recommendations for riding. You will then be free to continue with the rental - either an additional 90 minutes or the 5 hour program

■      rates are $90 for the two hour program and $150 for the 5 hour program. If you do not wish to rent after the training you will be refunded the fee less $30 for the training session.
